BEETLEJUICE MADE ME A BURTON FAN

Tim Burton is my favourite director, no question. His movies have a distinctive look and sensibility which is peculiarly his; you only have to look at a film to see if he had a hand in it.

His work is original, quirky, imaginative and very highly stylised. His eye for detail is extremely finely tuned and he is still one of the most visionary cinematic geniuses working today.

I find it hard to believe now that there was once a time when I hadn't heard the name Tim Burton, but there was. It was before the release of a little movie called Beetlejuice.

I was about eight when I first saw the film, and it was a revelation. I'd never seen anything like it. It was gaudy, Gothic, grotesque and great!

The score and feel of the film - that of weird askew Gothic-horror carnival - are …

Tim Burton shows his film making genius in the movie Beetlejuice.

The story was amazing and very well thought out. The way the story progressed through the movie was almost sheer genius. Every detail was planned out, which is evident in the way the movie is shown. The story details can be shown through the make-up work, and certainly the characters. The characters really do help bring the movie together.

Along with the characters building the story, they're also very individual. The characters are very well thought out, and each bring their own characteristics to the table. The way the movie brings out these characters is amazing, and worth seeing over and over again.

Overall, Beetlejuice is one of the best Tim Burton films ever made. Any Tim Burton fan really needs to see this …

Beetle Juice

This was really funny, and lighthearted, about a couple who suddenly die, and are left as ghosts in their home. When a new family move into their home, they try to scare them away, without much success. So they get the help of Beetle Juice, who shows them how to properly scare them. But after realizing that he isn't any help at all, and a little bit creepy, with the help of the daughter of the family (Winona Ryder) they sort everything out.

Great movie, but it would of been even better if there was better special effects, because the ones in the movie weren't all that great. Winona Ryder was awesome in this movie, as always, but was a little bit creepy, with the Goth personality. Don't watch Beetle Juice if you don't like fantasy, or sci-fi movies.
