An American Carol Falls 'Flat'

“Oh, Grandpa fell asleep again.”
“No, he’s dead.”
That’s right; Grandpa’s heart has stopped… most likely on account of severe boredom. Why you ask? Well he must have been watching An American Carol, the new David Zucker film starring Kevin Farley. After leaving the theatre I was in a state of languor. I had spent the last 83 minutes watching the extreme Right Wing’s humor… ehem, pardon me, attempts at humor. No movie can be that bad, you say? Well, let me put it this way… Beverly Hills Chihuahua is getting better reviews.
An American Carol is the Right Wing’s attempt at a propaganda film. The Left has Michael Moore (love him or hate him he knows how to make an entertaining documentary), and the Right has… the guy who brought us Airplane and The Naked Gun series!? So...

Political Satire

This is not a parody. It's a satire, who's main story elements are taken from Charles Dikkins' "A Christmas Carol". I'd have to go back and watch it again just to see stuff I missed. I also liked the incorporation of the U.S. historical figuers. Of course, the younger crowd might not get these either, but only because they slept during History Class. In the political department, Zucker hits all of today's issues ranging from our economy to terrorism and everything else you could think of. He...

Loathsome Republicans

This was such a pro-war, pro-gun, pro-Republican piece of crap, that only David Zucker could make me go. Yes, there was a lot of sight gags and some pretty funny dialogue, but the whole thing made me kinda sick to my stomach when it got all preachy. Hated it. Miss it.
