Uplifting and very funny film about the relationships formed within a small Irish town. The characters are all eccentric and well-formed and the film balances the laughs well with a strong emotional heart.

This is the kind of movie I'd like to have in our collection to return to on cold nights when I could use some gentle warmth and ancient amusement. The friendship between the old men, the eulogy-I want to lend to my best friend. "Michael and I grew old together. But at times, when we laughed, we grew young." It is near-perfect.

An okay film but nothing special about a town trying to get a lottery winnings from a dead friend. It is called a comedy but there is not really that many jokes, it is more of a pleasant film. Set in Ireland with many thick accents and colorful characters none really being memorable. Its okay to watch them go for the winnings though because it is rather short but is really straight forward. The Sub plot of a child's father is not well done or fleshed out and is resolved in a way you would think characters might ask a few more questions about but whatever it is pleasant enough.
