Plot Outline:
|
A minor earthquake in L.A. causes a volcano to rise from the La Brea tar pits. City officials are skeptical about the early warning signs, but the lava begins to flow, everyone must pull together to save the city.

This is a movie that they frequently played on TNT and TBS or WGN all the time after it was released on video.
Honestly, I just think it's entertaining to see LA erupt into flames and things get destroyed by means other than a riot or an earthquake.
Around the same time Dante's Peak was released. Between the two, I honestly feel this is a better movie. |

Not so good disaster of the moment (in this case VOLCANO) flick. Suspend your disbelief and it makes it somewhat better, but not enough to make this anything but a typical we're-all-gonna-die scenario. It's been done, and much better. |
