Okay Little Man, What're You Gonna Do Now?

I may be short, but I've got nothing on these guys - let's just say when it's the complete opposite of Super Size Me.

1) Inner Space - Dennis Quaid takes his own fantastic voyage through the many different parts of Martin Short (and for a brief time, Meg Ryan). It's kind of cheesy, but always fun - whether it's Martin Short getting drunk so Dennis Quaid can get his booze on or exploring the wonders of an ulcer. Wild, weird and all kinds of fun.

2) Honey, I Shrunk the Kids - You'll never look at your backyard the same way again. Disney's adventure never strays but a few feet from home, but when an ant makes you look puny, you know you're in trouble. From lawn mowers to sprinklers, trouble comes in the unlikeliest of places.

3) The Incredible Shrinking Man - Out the many terrible science fiction films to come out of the 50s, you're bound to find a few gems, and this is one of them. Through the dastardly combination of radiation and insecticide a man begins to shrink - just a little at first, then quite rapidly until he is living in a doll's house. When the cat breaks in he makes his own break to the cellar, but no help is coming and soon he must fend for himself, including an epic battle with a terrible spider! Sci-fi fun at its best.

4) The Ant Bully - Considering how I treated ants in my youth, it's a good thing they didn't have something like this going on. Granted, this may not be Pixar-quality animation here, but I can't think of anything worse than being outsmarted by bugs and having to submit to hard labor - no matter what lesson they're trying to teach. As Homer Simpson once eloquently put it: "Stupid bug! You go squish now!"

5) Alice in Wonderland - Only gets partial credit because she's only shrunk for part of the time. But poor Alice does have a heck of a time finding just the right size - I mean getting picked on by flowers and a hookah-smoking caterpillar? It's like she was high or something.

It's been awhile since we've had a good shrinking - but I'm sure it won't be too long before we find out that it's indeed a small world after all.
