Absurd if still entertaining story about two card sharps (Damon, Norton) that run afoul of criminals. Edward Norton is really good in the role of the wild card (hehe?) but Matt Damon is stiff as the leading man. His love woes with Gretchen Mol aren't interesting. John Malkovich hams it up as a Russian gangster but he is not in the movie enough. The dialogue is rapid-fire and has some good one-liners.

Rounders is the best poker movie in my opinion. I think even if you don't play poker though, it is still a really entertaining movie that anyone would enjoy. Great performances by Matt Damon and Edward Norton.

The poker scenes are the best part - an interesting cat and mouse game of tension, bolstered by strong performances from Damon and Norton. Some of the drama outside the poker room is a little sappy, but the film brings it all together for a striking conclusion.

This is definately a movie for those who enjoy watching or playing poker. I really enjoyed watching it with my dad because we are both big poker players. It is a slow paced movie with kind of a corny ending, but when playing cards and you try to be dramatic, there is only so much you can do. I recommend this movie to card players to see but if you don't play, stay away because I doubt you will get through it.

This is really a great movie. It has everything: suspense, comedy, and drama..., oh, and Edward Norton and Matt Damon. So, you really can't go wrong with this one.

I watched this movie because I love Edward Norton and don't think Matt Damon is half bad either. I found parts of this movie confusing (coming from someone who knows very little about poker). The acting was good and the story held my attention. It seemed really long though. It wasn't as quick paced as other gambling/poker movies I have seen. All and all I was underwhelmed. It was OK, but not one of Norton's best.

Cool film. That's all. Watch it for having some fun and enjoy once of those movies that actors do for make some money. Not a big, not a waste of time.

If you're a fan of Texax Hold 'Em or not, Rounders is still a pretty good film that keeps you attentive and wondering just how much two people can screw up before they get it right. Kind of a guilty pleasure.

The acting must be good in this film because it drives me nuts to watch them walk into all of the messes they do. It is a movie I almost walk out of every time because I see it coming but it is still a good story.
