Cheesy cult B-movie I wasn't sure how seriously it should be taken. The story of a righteous man wandering into a small town to save them from corruption has been done better.

A silly but entertaining action thriller where a smooth coolheaded bouncer is the only one who can free a small town from the rule of a tyrannical businessman. Roadhouse is chockfull of the typical action cliches from 1980s action movies but Patrick Swayze is credible in the part. Sam Elliot and Ben Gazzara beef up the supporting cast while Kelly Lynch just looks pretty.

Road House has to be the most cheesy's movie of all time and it's kind of amazing how such a film like Road House exist. The acting is terrible and the dialogue is so bad that it's really funny. Swayze himself is the only thing that's watchable in this movie.

Patrick Swayze (RIP) plays Dalton, a club bouncer who is hired to clean up a small town bar. He runs up against the local crime boss Ben Gazzara and his gang of boneheads led by an evil martial arts expert with a prison-gay attitude. As Dalton opens up cans of whoop-ass on these bad guys he is helped by Wade (Sam Elliot) his mentor. There's Kelly Lynch as a hot lady doctor who gets patch Dalton up. At one time she had a thing going with Gazzara. Patrick Swayze rules as the king of the bouncers so if you have a craving for brawling ruffians, bar fights, martial arts, big explosions, humorous lines and scantily clad pole-dancing bimbos, then you’ll have a blast watching this one….a guilty pleasure kinda movie!

It's probably the best bar movie ever made..., you know, next to Casablanca.

In reality, this is a very cheesy movie. However, it's also a great macho, butt-kicking flick. The acting is bad and the story is cliche but it's still one that you can watch over and over. There's something for the guys and the gals (and it's actually the same person -- Swayze).

I will NEVER be ashamed to love Road House, because deep down EVERY guy loves this movie. How many times have you been channel surfing and gone, "OH! ROAD HOUSE! SWEET!" Plus, Swayze ripping out a guy's throat is ALWAYS awesome.

Destined to remain a staple of those "remember the 80s" shows, Road House is pure cheese with bad acting, dialog, plot with lots of fighting and titillation but hardly any substance.

I saw this last night on Spike and it was not nearly as good as I remember. Damn! Some 80's action movies age badly, and this is one of them. Oh well, some will still appreciate and enjoy the nostalgia.

I am ashamed to like this movie because the acting is crappy, the plot isn?t anything special and the action scenes are cheesy. Still, it has good qualities: it is entertaining, lots of boobs and Patrick Swayze as a bouncer is just funny.
