This movie absolutely terrified me as a child. It has pretty much everything that would do that to a young person. Talking corpses, undead creatures, chucky -like toddler murdering people.

The Creed family moves to a countryside home near a busy logging road. In the woods near the house is a pet cemetery and further on is strange burial ground where things don't stay buried, but come back changed. After a tragic accident takes away his son, the father buries him there with fatal consequences. This movie was Shockley gross with horrible sense of gore.

Stephen King adaptations all have the same handicap; Stephen King is actually a bit crap. This workmanlike chiller has a decent premise, but it all feels a bit cheap and amateurish. The Ramones are good though...

What do you do when your wife and kids leave town and put you in charge of the family`s pet. You watch in horror as the pet gets run over on the hiway. You take it to the pet semetary and bring it back to life. Only to realize that once it dies and comes back to life, it`s no longer the family pet. Heartwrenching and scary at the same time.

The set-up is long, but the third act delivers the creeps.

I really hated this movie, mostly because I'm a huge fan of Stephen King books and every time a movie comes out, I expect it to fail. Much like this one.

Not as good as the book but few movies are. The ending is pretty uneventful but the overall story is good enough. They do seem to capture an iota of what King got across with such amazing brilliance. The choice of director for this movie was probably the worst choice ever made in any of King's film adaptations. Well over half of the "works" under her direction were freaking madonna and janet jackson music videos!!! Give me a break!!!

While not the best King film, this sticks close to the source material and has some definite creepy moments. Any parts with Zelda in it scared the heck out of me when I first saw it. It has a rather bleak ending, but it's worth it.
