The first Men in Black film is goofy and fun sci-fi film. Will Smith's charisma makes a lot of the comedy work and the film doesn't scimp on its impressive special effects either.

Super secret organization oversees outer space beings who are visiting or living on Earth. Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones are the Men in Black. Linda Fiorentino doing her straight face thing. Very enjoyable.

This is a funny, exciting, action-packed sci-fi. Smith and Jones make a great team. Thought it was funny how they make the goofy supermarket rags the newspapers that actually know what's going on in the alien world.

Looking back on it, we can see that this is actually a good sci fi/ action/ comedy. Smith and Jones are magic on screen - even if Smith does scream too much. It has originality, but lacks a thinking script. Good.

Call me sentimental, but I still like this film. It has a great combination of action and humor, and the special effects hold up reasonably well. It's neither Will Smith's or Tommy Lee Jones' best, but it is one of the most entertaining.
