Strict, adult drama astutely scrutinizes human sexuality with deeply complex performances; unfortunately, certain pertinent characters needed more depth to be truly affecting, particularly the spouses. Kate Winslet, Phyllis Sommerville and Jackie Earle Haley excel. Final Grade: B+

The voice overs were completely unnecessary. Here you have a capable actress like Kate Winslet who is emoting everything the voice over is saying. I love voice overs, but this may be the worst one in history. The story was okay. It is Todd Field's dark In The Bedroom and wait, that movie was already dark.

This does have a decent story, it is told in an interesting way, and the acting is good. The execution is even ok. It's problem lies in the subject matter - it is used now days for all the independent films. The films tend to end the same.
