I really really liked "Light It Up." I remember seeing it when it first came out and realized how beautiful of a movie it was, led by a bright, incredibly talented young cast. When they discover that the ONLY way out of their problems is to embrace their own stereotypes, it was nothing short of brilliant writing on a philosophical level. A great movie that teaches us all to light it all up. Usher, Rosario Dawson, Judd Nelson, Sara Gilbert, Vanessa Williams, and Forest Whitaker are all incredible performers and Craig Bolotin directed marvelously.
