Strange vehicle for Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan, two very likable actors who were wildly miscast. Confusing storytelling against a surrealist set design could had been more interesting. Except it feels like a Tim Burton knockoff.

Don't be put off by the presence of Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan; this is their least nauseating effort with some nice production design in a similar vein to Brazil (from the same designer as Edward Scissorhands) and an interesting off-beat script.

Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan once again - a perfectly find, but perfectly forgettable romantic comedy. I'll stick with Sleepless in Seattle.

I didn't like this the first time I saw it. I've watched it several times now and I have to say I've grown fond of it. A guy with a horrible job is tricked into jumping into a volcano on an island where the chief is Abe Vigoda. Meg Ryan plays three different women. Dreamlike and touching.

I've always thought this movie was underrated. This is classic, pre-superfame Tom Hanks.
