The Yelnats family has been cursed for years and Stanley Yelnats IV is
the latest victim when he is wrongfully accused of stealing cleats from
a famous athlete and sent to the brutal desert rehabilitation facility
Camp Green Lake. The warden wants each inmate to dig one hole per day to
"build character" but when a long-lost artifact is found, the warden
doubles their efforts and soon is becomes apparent something rotten is
