A middling adaptation from the master of horror that tries to twist and turn things but only winds up not able to escape its own absurdity.

'In the Tall Grass' stinks, but a shitty movie can't destroy Patrick Wilson's theater roots. Easily the funniest part of the movie. Why is it every time Patrick Wilson loses his mind he suddenly turns theatrical? Well you can throw this into the pale of wasted Stephen King adaptations.
