Horrible remake. Just for some guys to see a long semi nude scene in which the actress that played Jamie in the previous ones is almost killed. Why do they keep making these movies?

An ugly and contemptible film that misses the point of what made the original Halloween so effective and suspenseful. First off, we had no idea what the hell motivated Michael Myers to kill and become what he is.

A remake and modernization of the 1978 cult classic "Halloween". Rob Zombie's remake depicts the same events and actions from the first film but in a chilling new way. This remake is wrong on so many levels and it is just a horrible remake that should have not happened.

I really do hope people agree with me on this.to me this is not a bad remake and I'll tell you why.this film may feel like carpenter's,but it's truly all zombie.I really do have love for this remake.and if you seem to hate this movie, well put it this way,at least it ain't as terrible as other remakes like "nightmare on elm street" "friday the 13th" and "the texas chainsaw massacre" maybe cause michael bay wasn't involved with producing the film with his company platinum dunes, thank god, sorry Bay.but this film is not that bad.Rob Zombie does prove that it is to creat a pretty descent remake.now yeah it has it's flause, but it's not bad either,it's between good and bad,it's okay.

Zombie gives us a so-so re-make of a classic that is more like two re-makes in one. The first half is an origin story, of sorts, and the second is a sped up retelling of the first. I can't forgive the second half for being too much like the original, but I do like how he made the whole thing feel like a 70's splatter flick. That said, the experience was more nauseating than scary. It just brings an unpleasant feeling to the atmosphere. Only the final chase between Michael and Laurie carries any suspense.

I actually preferred this remake to the original. Don't ask me why, I don't know. But this film was a great remake and Rob Zombie saved the series.

A decent yet disgusting and unnecessary reboot to such a classic.

This is my favorite RZ film and my favorite remake over all I'd say. I like the way it was written and I think this film took a lot of crap it shouldn't have. People are going to bitch about a reamke no matter whao does it. They need to deal with it and watch the film as a whole.

I just saw this movie today at the suggestion of a good friend who is in love with Rob Zombie, and I have to admit I was incredibly skeptical getting into this apparently over-gore-filled Rob Zombie sex-filled crap, yet I watched with great ease. There were definite points where the story seemed to become slow and hard to follow. R Z of course used a lot of references to the culture he knows most about: Hillbillies. However, the ability for the director and writer Rob Zombie to delve into a child's psyche and make a killer was actually rather illuminating. Scary and filled with more breasts than something that holds a lot of substance should hold, "Halloween" was pretty good.
