Michael Corleone tries to make his business legit and save what is left of his family and his life. They should have left it at the second movie because this movie is not terrible but it is slow paste and dull at parts.

I echo what others have said: though this is clearly the weakest out of the three Godfather films, it's not nearly as bad as it has been made out to be and actually does quite a fitting job of wrapping up the series.

I agree with the majority that 'Godfather III' is not as good as the first two parts, but I think it's not that far behind either. I like this film quite a bit. The writing, directing and acting are still top-notch, for the most part. Andy Garcia is a welcome addition and Pacino delivers once again. Also, I felt this one was slightly faster paced than it's predecessors, which is a small plus. Yes, the story could've ended after part two, but this film does make a fine addition to the series.

A lot of people feel this is the weakest of the Godfather films, but I actually feel it's a fitting conclusion for the violent trilogy. The final five minutes of the film are perfection, in my opinion, when viewed in the context of the trilogy. Al Pacino carries the film with a much more desperate and grave portrayal of the powerful Don Corleone.

'The Godfather: Part Three' has an atrocious coda ('The Catherine Tate Show' has better aging makeup) and a truly abominable performance from Sofia Coppola, but it's operatic qualities really appealed to the disenchanted soul that was mine after the painful experience of the opprobriously languid 'The Godfather: Part Two'.

I love all of the Godfathers. But, for some strange reason, this one gets dissed all the time. And, I can't understand why. It's a great movie. It's probably not the best of the series, but it's still very good. It deserves more respect. It's a perfect ending.

The final scenes are great. People used to complain about some continuity stuff, regarding actors.... but... I loved it. It's a great movie, that actually speaks about a controversial theme, with fantastic acting by Pacino. Is not revolutionary as the first two, and it's out of the Godfather cannon, but still is a worth ending to the Corleone family.

This movie doesn't get the credit that it deserves. It's a fantastic film. However, it doesn't hold up as well as the first two. But it's better than people would have you believe.

I don't really see where the complaints come from. This is a good movie and is very well done. Although most of the characters we love to hate have disappeared or are unrecognizable, Pacino puts on a show. Don't believe the critics!
