Whoopi Goldberg trades quips with Sam Elliott in this mismatched buddy cop flick. As a crime-fighting team, it's kind of funny but it was a mistake to make them romantic partners. There's no chemistry. Soundtrack isn't bad. As for the movie itself, it's just a ripoff trying to cash-in on Beverly Hills Cop.

Poor action comedy with a high violence quotient, awful dialogue and flat direction. Are we supposed to cheer for a cop who breaks all the rules to get what she's looking for? Whoopi isn't bad, but everything around her is in this fatal excuse of a vehicle. Final Grade: D
