I have a major soft spot for this film since I watched it so much growing up. The characters are wild and exaggerated and a lot of the film's successful humor come from Paul Reubens' snaky animal hunter and Jason Alexander's pompous hotel guest.

I loved this movie when I was younger...one of those go-to movies if I was bored. However, there was little turnover when I started appreciating more mature fare. The comedy in it is both adult and childish, with the childish far outweighing the mature. It is watchable now as an adult, but little more than that. A possible go-to movie for when I have kids of my own.

I think young kids will appreciate this, but I grew out of monkeys long ago. It's not the worst family film ever, but you can easily find better out there.
