It delivers the sharks, the blood and the mayhem. Just a straight up fun movie.

This movie's kind of dead for me at the premise. Super intelligent sharks? The film is slick looking enough and Sam Jackson does his hardest to play the grizzled veteran in the story, but the film's just too silly to work and falls massively short of being scary.

This owes about 90 percent to Jaws even though it's only about 30 percent as entertaining. Smart sharks do not a great movie make - though there are some pretty good death scenes. Still, just pure mediocrity here.
