Sorry, but this science fiction did nothing for me. Well made, but the script lacked a good story. The actors did great, it's just the story that lost me as a movie watcher.

Okay when I went to go see this movie in the cinema they was people talking thought out the film and my dad told them to shut up. After devastating war that brought Earth on the brink of extinction, the remaining people are assigned to protect the last useful sources of energy. That is until a technician on the ground discovers something that changes everything he has been told. This movie had good visual effect's/tom cruise and Morgan freeman was good.

starring tom cruise this is a very good movie, i really enjoyed it and the ending. it has some good twists and keeps you guessing throughout .,, its very different to most movies which i liked, i guess you could argue it has a mad max/blade runner vibe about it but without actually being anything like those films, its one of those movies that is worth watching again. . best movie i have seen so far this year

Featuring some really great visuals, a stylish soundtrack, and two really good lead performances from Tom Cruise and Andrea Riseborough, the first forty minutes were absolutely fantastic. Unfortunately, Oblivion includes a few too many predictable, unimportant, or borrowed plot twists that really made the film less satisfying than it could have been.

I liked the movie Oblivion and would love to have it as part of my DVD collection when it is released, meaning I would like to watch this one quite a few times. Tom Cruise was believable in his role, but also likeable. I wanted his character to succeed in his goal of providing safety to the remains of Earth for a scant two weeks before he can head back to the new home base. But for an action film, Oblivion was awfully slow. It was not dull. It did have a lot of intensity, but the flow of the movie seemed to be delayed. I could see why this movie's release date was rescheduled ahead of the summer's comic book action films.

I rather enjoyed this movie. It had good character development and an enthralling story-line.

I didn't have high expectations, but even still they were not met. It appears execution derailed some nice enough ideas, and while I can look at individual aspects of the movie and say it was 'alright', none of it really clicked and thus made the final product a very flat experience. Even the twist failed to wow the story and just left me going "Oh". I'd say the best thing about the film was their tour of post-apocalyptic New York, but even this left me imagining how much better it could have been. Credit where it is due, they all clearly worked hard on this, I just think things didn't gel. For that reason I have a hard time this is a "bad" film, but it certainly isn't a good one.

'Oblivion's story contains some tropes I've seen in other sci-fi movies, which made the twists predictable. However, with the way the plot unfolds, I was engaged and wanted to see it through. The special effects are quite amazing and the action is tense. Good effort, but just a bit disappointing.
