Even for someone who isn't a dedicated sports fan of any stripe can appreciate the awe-inspiring run the Boston Red Sox made in 2004 vs. the Yankees. A culmination of 86 years of could-have, should-have been - all in four near-miraculous days. As Spike Lee said, Hollywood couldn't have topped this - reality is much more unpredictable.
