Nothing short of amazing. I sincerely loved the experience of watching this film. The payoff was well, well worth the entire move. Still, the movie was great all in all. AMAZING.

If you can get a copy, I strongly suggest the original version. Apparently Mr. Spielberg didn't lilke the self-indulgent scene where Richard Dreyfus spends 7 minutes building a model in his living room.

Sure, there are plenty of extraterrestrials and strange goings-on, but at the heart of Close Encounters is the inner struggle people have and how it affects their live. It's amazing to see how an obsession can change a life.

I was really looking forward to this sci fi! I heard it had great special effects, the story was great. But, no, not really any of that. Yeah, the special effects were kind of ok, but the rest I was not impressed with. Nothing special.
