The time travel plot has a couple of glaring holes and the villain is severly underdeveloped, but the humor hits most of the time. Much better jokes than in the previous MIB. The visual effects are also impressive. It's a brisk film, with an overall fun tone. The added emotional revelation at the end was a nice touch and brings it closer to the level of the first MIB. |
Could Men in Black III possibly be good? It has been quite a while since the first one, which believe it or not, was back in 1997. Even the second one (which wasn't very good), was back in 2002. Ten years later, we now have the third, and it was surprisingly good. Will Smith doesn't look a day older, maybe he is an alien himself? The movie is full of the same great comedy as the first, and never gets boring. Watch for the little things, it can add further enjoyment. The story is good, even has things you might not expect. Men in Black III should continue to roll in profits during these summer months and turn out to be a blockbuster success. I think it is worth seeing in the theaters on a Saturday afternoon matinee. |
