Well written drama about the unrest before the founding of Israel after World War 2. A sea-captain (Andrews) reluctantly assists the Jewish immigrants fighting against the British armed forces stationed in postwar Palestine. There are several exciting action scenes. Good acting from Dana Andrews, Stephen McNally, and Jeff Chandler. Marta Toren is the highlight as a brave female guerilla fighter.
