The thing about Gibson is he likes to take a factual time period or event and make a fictional epic tale about it. Some people go into his movies expecting them to be historically accurate and then come out of the experience irritated. You can't do that, you must take them as they are a fictional storyline that pulls references from fact. Braveheart is one of the best movies ever created. It's a story about freedom and the struggle to keep it at all costs. How far would you go? How much pain and anguish would you take to be completely free? Amazing scripting, acting and action go to create one of most rememorable movies ever. A must see.

This movie is really good. Maybe a little too long and violent. But hey, I'm prouder now of my Scottish heritage (especially since some random French chick is in it?). Oh well. I really don't remember too much of it, but Mel Gibson's accent wasn't that bad.

The great talented Mel Gibson made this modern masterpiece, already a classic, and... he achieved a remarkable epic, that contains great acting and a delivers ultimately, a fantastic idea. If the real Wallace was so darn charismatic as Mel was, I bet I would had followed too. One of my favorites scores ever.

If you dream about a movie with grown men in dresses and speaking with funny accents, this is the movie for you. A fantasic story of bravery, honor, and revenge. In my opinion this is one of the best movies of Mel Gibsons career. This is a great movie even if you arent into the action flicks with a lot of battles.

With rousing speeches, grand battles and a sprinkling of humor, Braveheart certainly raises the bar for entertainment. It's the historian in me that prevents it from getting four stars. Knowing the real story nags at me.

A heroic motion picture that satisfies your movie senses in every way: romance, revenge, Scottish music, superb acting, comical relief, and a surprise ending (well kind of).
