This is a 3-star movie... until you put in the music. Between the humor and the great music... you get a great movie. I'd give it a perfect score, but some of the humor is the kind of thing only some people really think is funny.

Its all been said. The music is really the most important part of the movie. I also really enjoyed seeing ugly, crumbling, vintage Chicago. You can watch this movie several times and still pick up new bits--the sign of all truly great movies.

I must have seen a different movie than what everyone else talks about. Funny? Are you crazy! Yeah, it is kind of funny at times and the singing and dancing is good, but Aykroyd is way out of character and I never cared for them. Blah.

Blues Brothers is a near-perfect movie. The music is the highlight with James Brown, Ray Charles, Aretha Franklin and more. Throw in great comedy and one of the best car-chase scenes in history and you have a recipe for success.
