But the straight-forward plan is revealed to be anything but routine, and the group must deal with betrayal and deceit on the road to possible redemption. This movie has one of the worst CG blood in film history. the action is mindless and they is not story.

very good movie! Really good actors in it too. Good plot line. I thought it was comedic mixed with action. I find it amazing that Sylvester Stallone directed and starred in the movie. He did a really good job. I really enjoyed the plot and it made sense. I felt like there was a lot of killing though and I'm not going to be the person who says violence shouldn't be in movies, I'm just saying that i felt like Stallone could have edited out a lot of the violence and killings and destruction. That's just me though. I would highly recommend it if you like comedy mixed with violence/action

An over the top action movie that certainly does not stress the characters very much, but there is plenty of over the top action. I will admit I did enjoy the some of the most over the top action moments, and seeing the team up of various action stars was enjoyable as well. The story certainly is excessively simple though, and the moments that attempt to stress character are less than compelling. Also although some scenes are so over the top their enjoyable, the action on the whole does have frankly too much shaky cam, and the use of cgi sometimes very poor particularly at the end of the film when someone is on fire.

I hope The Expendables will win Worst Movie Of 2010 or get at least a couple nominations somewhere.Maybe even win an award for 1 of the worst movies of all time.Even with all the action & explosions, It still sucked & if this movie didnt have all the names it had in it, It wouldve went straight to DVD.Lousy acting all around

Lots of ass-kicking action, but pretty much no plot (and what plot there is is pretty expositionary.) This is a vehicle for as many aging action stars as can possibly be crammed into an ultra-violent film and that's exactly how it plays out. Which is to say, it's a lot of fun, but leaves you ultimately feeling like it could have been more.

Great action, somewhat funny, sub-par dialogue, mediocre story, very macho, one decent emotional scene w/ Mickey Rourke

This movie was a huge let down. I love action movies but only if they have a plot. Hell I love movies in general but they all need plots. This one sucked. I was not drawn into it what so ever. I could care less what these men were fighting for and it seemed neither did they. With a cast like this this movie really deserved a much greater attention paid to it's scripts, as it is now it's a waste of talent and potential.

Hell Yeah! That is basically what you will be saying throughout this movie. It is a throwback to the great eighty's action movies that Stallone, Schwarzenegger, and Willis starred in. Speaking of which, Willis and Schwarzenegger's cameo that set's up the entire movie is one of the most exciting things I've seen in a long time(but no action in this scene). Lots of violence and amazing action sequences. One of the best action movies I've seen in a long time(Die Hard comes to mind). My only dissapointment was the absence of Jean Claude Van Damme and Steven Seagal.
