SPOILER ALERT Based on the true story of Soraya Manutchehri who was betrayed by her philandering husband and stoned to death by the devout Muslim community she lived in so that her husband could be free to marry another. I put off watching this movie for a long time because of it's brutal content and barbaric customs, but after watching it I see it is an important film because the world needs to know Soraya's story.
