Solid Nick Cage action movie with an interesting plot twist. This medieval saga has all you would expect and is worth watching if you have nothing else to do.

In the 14th century a group of knights transports a suspected witch to a monastery where they determine her to be the source of the Black Plague. this is one of those Nicolas Cage movies that are dark and funny at the same time and that is what this movie is.

This isn't the Nicolas Cage laugh-fest you would expect it would be. It is competently made and the period setting and special effects are actually above average. The film's main problem is that it is, at heart, lifeless. The characters go through a series of adventures on their quest, but there's really no connection to the characters, which results in a series of flat action sequences. The exorcism finale has its moments, but it can't touch the terror that is better horror films. As a whole, with a better script and director at its helm, it could have been interesting, but, as it is, it's a listless and muddy period horror film.

This movie was pretty boring in my opinion. The only exciting parts were the very beginning when the hung witch comes back to life and kills the priest. The other exciting part was when the "Witch" turns around and tries to kill the people transporting it and is pretty successful but there are always the survivors who end up killing the bad guy. This "witch" also kills hundreds maybe thousands of other people by spreading and ugly magically started plague. It's okay if you enjoy people with bubbly skin and watching people move a cage with a girl inside.

This film had so much potential, it could be great film. But makers didnt really care. can you just imagine what can you do with fantasy horror set in middle ages with big budget. Just idea of that is great. And this film does achieves some good moments, but some other moments are just pathetic. If you are able to laugh to fake moments, you will be able to enjoy in fantasy and adventure elements of this ok film.

Usually I HATE movies that involve demons, witchcraft, etc, etc. Season Of The Witch wasnt great but it was OK.It's good enough to pass the time away if you have nothing else to do or nothings on & it'll save you from boredom.Basically........ Season Of The Witch is just something to watch

Somehow Nicolas Cage continues to find work in Hollywood - this time as a knight (well ex-knight) charged with taking a supposed witch to some monks to get cleansed. This is not a good film, but it doesn't entirely fail either. The end is just ludicrous, have fun with this and don't think on it too much.
