Slumdog Millionaire is a movie unlike any I have ever seen. A young man, who comes from the "Slum" of India, which is like the poor uneducated parts, ends up winning 20 million rupees on a popular show "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire." The police suspects him of cheating, after all how could an uneducated poor boy answer every question correctly, but in actuality he knew every answer because it somehow connected with something that happened in his life. The movie now turns into the story of his life and how he's been searching his whole life for the woman he loves. Everything you would want in a movie.

I first heard about this movie on Reelz Channel, my favorite channel on TV. I didn't give it much thought. Then they started talking about it more and more. It really got me interested. I was really hyped to see this movie..... It didn't only live up to its hype, it far surpassed it. This is the best movie of 2008 with The Dark Knight at a close second. A movie like this really makes you believe that movies are something special and can make a big impact in people lives.

Very good film! It has mass appeal and is well made. A good date movie as well as a good movie for a film snob.

It is a good movie. Predictable at times. If you want everything wrapped in a neat bow and the guy getting the girl in the end then you are set.

I was expecting a mediocre film that for some reason was oscar worthy. But after going and watching this flick I was very surprised. This was a very good movie and in my opinion ranks right up there as the best of 2008. A must see so you can understand that this is worthy of winning movie of the year. The movie contains no-name actors, which works really well and I enjoyed it more because of it. The story was great, and the music fit perfect. It definitely over exceeded my expectations.

I can't believe I am writing this. It is a very good movie. The marketing campaign for this film was terrible! Much better than City of God. Great music, cinematography, original story, and a hot female lead. Not the best of '08 but close.

Probably not quite as good as the pundits are saying it is, but good none the less. Danny Boyles direction is spectacular, but the acting is suspect at times. One of the best of the year.
