so i liked this movie. even though it didn't exactly live up to the whole hype that it had before it came out. it was a half way decent movie. the only thing that i hated about it was that it's just another movie about a computer malfunctioning and trying to take over the world.

When I first watched this movie I just thought it was ok, but the more I got away from it, the more I kept thinking about it. If a movie can make me still think about it days later, then maybe it was better than I gave it credit for. This was was an interesting one and I really liked all the action and the 'big brother' feeling through out the movie. Shia LaBeouf did a great job and I am quickly becoming a fan of his.

This was a good mindless popcorn movie. I can see the Hal and Skynet references that people have mentioned cause I said the same thing while was watching. Over all it was fun to watch, a little ridiculous at times, but fun. Since it is no longer in theaters i don;t have to worry about saying don't go see this in theaters but it is worth putting the the Netflix cue and waiting for it to work it's way to the top.

Pretty good for the first 30 minutes or so, until the real villain is revealed. Then it just gets stupid, unbelievable, and laughable at times. The final 20 minutes or so don't make much sense either. So once the ridiculous kicks in, just turn it off.

I thought this movie was going to blow, but it didn't turn out to be too bad. It was pretty suspensful.

The kind of fast-moving, brainless action film that keeps your eye dazzled while your brain can remain inactive. Promising premise is dashed for the usual chase sequences and narrow escapes and the resolution comes too easy despite so many plot threads coming together. FInal Grade: C+

Action: 1.5/3 + Comedy: 0/2 + Good vs Evil: 1/1 + Love/Sex: 0.5/1 + Special Effects: 0.5/1 Plot: 1/1 + Music: 0/1= 4.5/10 or 45%. "Intelligence" gives a so-so probability and the government and the citizens follow it to a fault. One will figure this out, as well as what's really going on, rather quickly and the film suspects that shakey car chases, running, and near subway collisions will frantically distract you. While the goal may be to make one revel in the reprocessed thriller (better versions include Enemy of the State), which summons nothing even remotely original, others may simply not care that HAL from 2001 had a younger daughter or that Shia has facial hair.

dissapointing, I agree that it was cool for the first twenty minutes but then gets confusing for the next hour and a half until the end where it explains most of it.
