A big shot football hero is recruited to play for a 1925 professional football team. With the league facing collapse, the owner/player recruits a college standout to take the reins of the team to attract more fans. A newswoman, who at first appears to be the owner's gal, is out to prove the young star has his faults only to possibly fall for him and the hard game of football.
