First, you have to know what you're getting into... a cheesy vampire movie.... so that you aren't expecting some great story with plot twists and completely believeble story. All things considered, I liked this movie for a couple of reasons: 1. Never would have thought Josh Harnet would do a role like this, but he did it surprisingly well. 2. Finally a vampire movie without blaring techno constantly in the background. 3. It had a completely original concept that was a refreshing change. That said, check it out... it may be choppy and a bit corny at times, but over all a good film worth giving a chance.

Although I didn't expect much from this flick, it still fell short for me. The trailer was enticing, and I was hopful that I would come out of the theatre with the cringe of a couple well done scenes. The acting wasn't bad, and the overall idea and setting was interesting, but that was it. The vampires were more like mutated humans with the desire to kill everything around them like animals. The movie also didn't seem to flow well, I didn't feel any sense of time in the movie. 7 days turned into 30 pretty fast and the characters just seemed to have been able to not freeze and not eat over that period. It could have been done much better to make get into the movie and actually enjoy it more.

according to hubby (not my type of movie) enjoyable.... took the teenager and he really liked it. not a buyer. but was suspenseful.

I didn't like the vampires. I think they shrieked too much. They were supposed to not talk so much to be scarier. However, they spoke in Romanian and there were subtitles. Apparently they understood English but chose not to speak it. Josh Hartnett is an okay actor. Melissa George is great - I wish she was in more stuff. The movie was okay. Several jumpy moments. Nice scene at the end.
