A movie that was early in Gene Tierney's character. She hadn't yet developed as an actress and her voice was higher pitched. She must have taken some elocution lessons. All in all, not a great masterpiece. There was a blonde lady that seemed like von Sternberg's cheap replacement for Marlene Dietrich. She looked like a cross between Carole Lombard and Shelley Winters.

An uneven, but oddly satisfying curio, both for its content and the talent involved. Final Grade: B-
