Solid buddy film thanks to the surprisingly effective pairing of Bryan Brown and Brian Dennehy. Plus the action scenes are inventive and make use of Brown's profession as a special effects maestro. The criminal conspiracy at the heard of the matter is ludicrous, involving the mob, jewel thieves, and dirty cops. But the resolution is quite entertaining to watch unfold.

This is more or less a retread of the first F/X. Similar plot, but with more humor and creative uses of movie f/x. Out of the two, I'd go with this one just for the inclusion of the clown robot and that insane opening scene.
