Solid Van Damme entry. Back when action movies could have good tag lines and keep a straight face. "A cop must go back in time to solve a murder that could change the world!" Van Damme kicks a lot of people, sometimes in the face. He also does the splits in this movie. Not on Jacky Chan's level, but still a solid offering.

A strong premise nearly scuppered by it's weak cast. JCVD just cannot act and without an excuse to get bare-chested and Thai kick-box people to death he's a waste of space.

One of Van Damme's best. If you are a fan of the high-kicking martial arts star, then this one is a must see.

When I was growing up, this was a great movie to me. It had good concepts, decent action scenes, and good retail value (able to watch it over and over again). But, I have not seen it in 10 years, so I can't say how good it really is.
