I loved the first 2/3 of the film, as Harold tries to figure out what's happening, then tries to figure out what to do about it. Not too comedic, not too sweet, but a good mix of the two. The end was too perfect for the rest of the film.

Please tell me......1) How you can write a review on a movie you did not watch. and 2) Another movie whose ORIGINALITY was stolen by this film. I can understand that you probably appreciate the low brow humor of ball-in-groin action to that of something with a little substance, but originality is the last thing this movie lacked.

I really, genuinely like this movie. Will Ferrell was actually good, Maggie Gyllenhaal was hot and the plot was surprising all the way through. Emma Thompson's narration was great and in the end helped me feel more for Harold Crick. Overall, this was a mildly funny movie but a very good one. The laughs didn't come out constantly but it was, dare I say, "cute" but in a refreshing way. It reminded me of "Lemonly Snickets and a Series of Unfortunate Events" in the way the story unraveled and it was interesting even though it didn't spark as much laughter as a "Knocked-up" or "Borat". Take a look it is a movie that is different and refreshing.

If you are looking for a stupid comedy where you don't have to think this is not the movie for you. Will Ferrell can actually act, and plays a serious role as well as having comedic moments. Definitely a movie to watch.

Since I was sick and fell asleep, I will have to take Gwynn's word for it. "It was stupid." I didn't even see the end, but after what she said, I knew I didn't have to. It looked like it had potential, but the story lacked originality.
