Here comes Spider-Man! Ah, I remember watching the 90s Spider-Man cartoon back when I was younger. So seeing this movie come out was a must see. I was pleased with the movie overall. It wasn't amazing but it wasn't complete crap either. In the whole trilogy this is the best movie. If you're not a Spidey fan then you'll find this movie dull. A good origins story for Peter Parker.

Overrated film. The scenes with the Green Goblin were good, but was way too lovey dovey with the whole Mary Jane plot. This movie wasn't about Spider man. It was about Peter Parker and Mary Jane. Made me want to puke.

A great action flick with a great performance by Willem Dafoe. Tobey Maguire was able to portray that nerdy photographer well, but then transformed into the muscular hero with gusto. A great flick, if it weren't for Kirsten Dunst.

This is the only good one out of the series I thought. The second was so so and the third sucks. This was a good film though.

After being buried in development hell for 25 years, the SPIDER-MAN character finally comes to life! Considering a $821 million gross revenue against $140 million in production cost, I'd say they were pretty darn successful... You could tell from this first-of-a-series episode that the foundations were being laid for further filmings. They did a good job. The movie provided the origins of Spider-Man, how a genetically altered spider bit Peter Parker and turned him into the legendary web-slinging superhero. His love for Mary Jane Watson. His guilt for the death of his uncle Ben. His battle against the villainous Green Goblin (WILLEM DAFOE). Great movie. Great cast.

I liked it a lot. Although, it's a bit overrated. Mostly because the plot and dialogue are kinda childish. And, it could use more blood and guts. But, all in all, a very good movie.

I thought Magurie did a good job as the shy Peter Parker. I didn't, however, buy Dunst as his love interest. The villain was a bit corny. The special effects were surprisingly mediocre.

A very worthy effort by the actors involved. Dafoe was a perfect choice for the villain, and Maguire was born for the role. It stays very true to the comic book. Problem: A weak beginning and sappy music at times (get over your uncle). Good

I give Spiderman high marks for special effects and a origin story, but I just wasn't blown away by the film. The bad guy, while setting up the story down the road, just didn't feel right and took a lot away. A solid effort.
