Plot: The Earth has been attacked by aliens who have a plan: Wave 1 - knock out all power on the planet, effectively setting mankind back to the stone age. Wave 4 - activate human sleeper, who are actually aliens. Which brings Cassie Sullivan to Wave 5 - believing she is one of the only humans left on the planet, she will stop at nothing to find her brother, who was taken by bus (along with other children) to a secret facility. When she meets Evan, a strange, but sweet, boy - she knows she can't trust him. But the closer she gets to him - the closer she gets to the truth.
