#21 has crowd screaming Rudy! Rudy! Rudy!

Sean Astin stars as Daniel "Rudy" Ruettiger in an inspiring true story about an undersized football player who will do anything to live out his lifelong dream- to play for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. Astin plays the role perfectly and it his will and determination that truly stands out in the film. A great supporting cast include Ned Beatty as the proud but cautious father; Jon Favreau as his best friend and only real support and Charles S. Dutton as the former Irish football player who gets him a job as a groundskeeper. Rudy faces challenge after challenge throughout the entire film and never gives up and the ending still gets to me. I am sure it has a little to do with my love for football that has this movie rated so high- but I love this film and I highly recommend it- pigskin lover or not.
