I do not understand why Louis Gossett Jr. wasn't nominated for a Best Supp. Actor Oscar. He makes you dislike him but somehow cheer for him. I would have love to see a movie based on just his character. The movie shows how much a lie can effect someones life. It also shows how arrogent someone can be and once they get over that, they can be a lot more happy. It has just enough for the ladies and it has just enough for the guys. Its a great love story.
