Almost put me to sleep

I was expecting so much more from this movie. I never expected it to be "Great" but I have trouble enjoying crappy B movies if they try too hard to be that. That is where this film lost me. It tried way too hard to go over-the-top and ended up loosing my interest. It wasn’t as far over the top as a “Shaun of the Dead” or “Kung Fu Hustle” but it came close at times, those times were just too far apart to keep it funny. If the movie was trying to be an outright comedy it clearly failed.

I found myself bored with the film within 30 minutes and then struggled to get through the rest of it. At times I thought that maybe it was trying to be a horror or action film, but then I thought that a cheesy horror would at least be trying to scare people… right? So after close to two hours I still have no idea what to classify the film as other than a “horedyactsci-firama.” I am not a big fan of that genre evidently.
