Somewhat of a Letdown.

Was this movie funny? Yes. Is it as good as or better than the original? No. Even though I laughed, I still had some problems with this sequel. In the first, thier main end goal was to get to White Castle. The whole journey there, with all the wierd characters and funny mishapps, felt like an adventure. In this one, however, the duo get locked up at the beginning of the film and escape. They spend the rest of the movie just running around with no real mission and that takes away the adventure part. Also, some of the jokes felt forced and a lot of them were tired stereotypes. Like, who hasn't seen or made a joke about Black people, illegal immigrants, inbred hicks, the KKK, the Taliban, George Bush, and of course prison rape. All of these jokes had a very predictable outcome and they already felt old before they happened on screen. Now, all of the other jokes were original and did not seem forced and were very funny. I especialy like the flashback to their college days. All together it's a fairly decent movie, but if you're a fan of the first, then fairly decent is not good enough.
