A fairly interesting film with good performances and great looking cinematography. It is miserable people being miserable and that it is interesting to watch just to see where it goes, although I dislike the fact that it skips over any happiness they might have ever had, but whatever. Anyways almost interesting enough to watch one time, I do not see why you would want to watch this again. It is not all that creative though because the people arguing all the time has been done in many many films before and it is not really more interesting than a stock action scene. Also the emptiness found in normal people is just annoying, some filmmakers need to give it a break.

Oscar Nominee Best Supporting Actor Michael Shannon 2/5- A part that is a bit much to begin with and a forced plot elements. He really does not do anything unexpected with the role. It really is mostly the role because his lines give him the oh look its a dramatic scene thing. Someone could easily been worse in the part but he is not anything special either.
