Good subject but too boring.
1.5/4 stars A unfortunately boring film. I like the subject and the idea behind the film but the way it is played out is all too boring. Paul Schofield is great as Thomas of Aquatine but no one else sticks out. Robert Shaw I felt really under played as King Henry the 8th, he should have been just a little more flamboyant. The problem with the movie is it is one boring conversation after another than another. The only really good part of the film is the end court room scene which works well, but that is it. One last note is there is an odd lack of any music, I guess they wanted to keep it as much of a play as possible. Review by Ichabod Crane |
