Plot: Oliver Stone's examination of Richard Nixon - from his strict Quaker upbringing to early political stirrings and the devastating loss to John F. Kennedy. Although sharing little charisma, his political machinations eventually pay off when he is elected president in 1968 - but, though safely ahead in polls, is brought down by paranoia when the Watergate scandal hits. -- Chris Kavan
