It’s very ironic how a historical even can lead to a typical Hollywood film about a romantic couple named Jack and Rose. Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet are talented artists; add Billy Zane and Kathy Bates to make this a respectable ensemble. Leo and Kate have good on-screen chemistry, the supporting cast did well. There were really long scenes that felt like watching a long soap opera waiting to unfold. The heart was there, unfortunately the melancholic event was not suitable for its idea. It would have been better to make a film with one of its survivors. It is one of the breakthroughs in CGI since they were able to replicate a massive sinking ship. Still, the visual effects and talents are not enough to save the drowning picture.
