Silent Night, Deadly Night Part 2

Review - Silent Night, Deadly Night Part 2 (1987)

Several years after his brother was shot down, Ricky Caldwell (Eric Freeman) became a serial killer himself, punishing the naughty every time he saw red. He tells his story in “Silent Night, Deadly Night Part 2.”

First off, let me just say something that everybody on YouTube has by now realized: Eric Freeman is by far the worst actor in the history of acting. I’m sure even if nobody has seen this movie, they’ve seen the scene with the “garbage day” line, and if you haven’t, search it.

Anyway, this is by far one of the worst movies I have ever seen. It rivals “Troll 2” and “Plan 9 From Outer Space” even. The entire first half of the movie is made up of clips from “Silent Night, Deadly Night.” The premise of Ricky telling Dr. Henry Bloom (James Newman) his life is obviously a copout way of getting people who didn’t care to see the first to understand the story better. The thing is, why would you see the second if you didn’t want to see the first?

Once the story finally begins, it’s easy to see that it will just be going downhill. I can’t even describe how bad the movie gets from here, but if you haven’t seen the first, it’s worth it to see this one.

“Silent Night, Deadly Night Part 2” is a torture of a film, but they at least included the highlights of the first. Really, the movie’s worth watching to laugh as much if not more than you would or did at the first.
