Nicolas Cage and Ryan Reynolds needed this push in their life. Chris Sanders (who created a wonderful How to train your dragon) comes back with help from Kirk DeMicco in The Croods. A silly, rusty and superlative fun with right content and emotional punch to keep the interest on, for the film. Sanders’s visual world is dangerous, as he is depicting the end of the world when cave men dwelled. Here is Grug (Finally Cage in a brilliant voice over) and his family. His daughter Eep (charming voice over by Stone) is always daring to take adventurous steps. This leads to a conflict between father-daughter and Eep meets a guy (voice over excellent from Ryan Reynolds) slightly more mature than these cave men, but has a brain to think of an idea. They take his help, despite Grug opposing him as enemy to find a path that is safe, rather than hiding in caves for years. Cage finally gets a film for his happiness. His voice over as rusty Grug is smart and caring whenever needed. Emma Stone as Eep is very enthusiastic in giving her voice over. Sanders builds hefty emotions between father-daughter and this is a treat to watch in a cinema that offers more for the kids and luckily adults would enjoy the same.

The Croods is a funny ride. Not a blockbuster pack, neither really stupendous as How to train your dragon, but it has the heart of Sanders again. He packs everything nice. The action set pieces are big and bold to pronounce for an animated film (rocks sliding, volcanic eruptions, animal hunting fascinating stuff). The Croods is not like the old school funny tales. It has a message, a history to be known (Existence of cave men). If such a world was from where mankind (I mean smart) was born, then The Croods is a fine example to cherish the moment. Sanders and his co partner excels in bringing a clap worthy, enthusiastic and literally a funny film for all the ages. This one easily becomes one of my favorites, I watched in recent times. A good film for a great weekend, to enjoy with families. Jolly ride for sure! A big smile. I would give it a solid credit of holding the aces right. I cannot state that it really knocked me off, but almost it did. I enjoyed it and so would everyone. Sit back, relax and enjoy The Croods. A whole hearted, joyous animation film. The Croods cruise.
