Wow this is one of my all time favorite films. The complete loss of all sense and maturity iss shown a an all wild cast flip and spin round a silly set. Mos Def (who is continually overlooked) steals every scene and with Sam Rockwell they both feel like a couple of far out rock stars. Very well designe and suprisingly well thought out we are taken into world of sneezing gods and cotton people and sperm whales materialising in the sky. Wild and worth the fun ride.

I like random movies, but this was almost too random, though if you've read the book, you know what you're getting into. A good mix of comedy and sci-fi, but I couldn't get into this film as much as I thought I would. A letdown for me.

Never read the book, but I loved the movie. Yeah, it's weird and crazy at times, but key sci-fi elements are in place. Rockwell, Def (surprisingly), and Freeman put on a fantastic intergalactic show that is paced very well with great sfx.

If you haven't read the book then you may not like this movie. It is just so different that it is hard to describe. You have to love British comedy and odd sci-fi movies to like it.
